An important COVID-19 Update from our CEO on Business Continuity at Nosto
As the COVID-19 virus outbreak continues to escalate across the globe and deeply affect markets within which we have employees, clients and partners, I wanted to personally update you on the business continuity plans we have in place at Nosto.
Before I go into the actual continuity plans, however, I believe it is important to make it clear that our policy response to the Coronavirus is designed to put our employees’ health and safety first. In addition to the safety of our employees, the intent of our response to the outbreak is also to contribute to the larger societal responsibility of ensuring that families, the elderly, the disadvantaged and those with pre-existing conditions do not become infected with COVID-19. Finally, our policy is also aimed at limiting our contribution to the healthcare facilities in all the markets in which we operate which could potentially become overcrowded in the near future.
We issued our first policy on March 6th, with instructions for employees to optionally work from home, office visitors to be restricted, business / personal travel to be limited and a 14 day self-quarantine period to follow such travel. On March 10th, we upgraded the restrictions on these policies, with strong encouragement to work from home, and on March 13th we issued a global mandatory work from home policy for employees across New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm and Helsinki. We are monitoring the situation daily and are issuing policy updates when required.
Our 100+ employees globally have always been equipped with remote working capabilities. From laptops to secure VPNs, from remote system access and monitoring to video conferencing tools and project management software, Nosto is a fully capable and operationable work-from-home employer. This has enabled Nosto to quickly scale down our office staffing and scale up our work-from-home capacity, as the COVID-19 virus outbreak spread. We are also allowing flexible working hours as our employees care for family, given daycare and school closures.
In this new environment, new and existing clients, partners, authorities and investors can count on Nosto to provide 100% service and full business continuity. Our customer success managers are on standby for our clients, our onboarding specialists are actively working with new clients and partners wanting to access our services, and our product support continues to respond to questions with approximately 1 hour response times.
As we help protect those in need by social distancing and working from home, we appreciate your partnership and support! Please let us know if you have any concerns that we can help address.
Yours truly ,
Jim Lofgren
CEO, Nosto
